Code Geass Power System Explained (2026)
The complete Code Geass power system. Geass / Knightmare Frame Combat explained in full.
Code Geass has two power systems running in parallel: the supernatural Geass abilities (unique to each user) and Knightmare Frame combat (giant mecha piloting that determines military power).
Geass โ The Power of Kings
Geass is a supernatural ability granted by a Code user (C.C., V.V.) manifesting uniquely in each recipient based on their deepest desire. Every Geass is different:
| User | Geass | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Lelouch | Absolute Obedience โ one irresistible command | Requires eye contact, one use per person |
| Charles | Memory Rewrite | Requires physical touch |
| Rolo | Freeze others' perception of time | Strains his heart โ kills him if overused |
| Mao | Read minds within range | Cannot be turned off โ drives him mad |
Knightmare Frames
Knightmare Frames are the primary military weapon โ humanoid mechs powered by Sakuradite. They fight with Slash Harkens (wire anchors), energy shields, and frame-specific special weapons. Top-tier frames like Lancelot and Guren are operated only by elite pilots (Rounds-level) and can single-handedly turn the tide of battles.
